Bio: Vicki  Ricketts has worked in education for over thirty-five years.  She enjoyed twenty-nine years as a classroom teacher of  Communication  Arts,  Social  Studies, Spanish,  Alternative  Education, and  Inclusion.  At the district level in Springfield, Missouri, Vicki served as an Instructional Specialist for School Improvement K-12.  Her instructional training includes Kagan Cooperative Learning, the Baldrige model of Continuous Quality Improvement, Carlene Murphy’s Whole Faculty Study Groups, Dunn & Dunn Learning Styles, the Harvard model of Socratic Seminar, Comprehensive Literacy model by Linda Dorn, Cognitive Coaching and Instructional Coaching, and Evolving Leaders.  She has held professional development certifications for Ruby Payne, 6+1 Traits of Writing (K-12), Step Up to Writing, Core Curriculum, and Restructuring high schools through the Coalition of Essential Schools.  For the past two years, she has worked fulltime as a SIM Professional Developer and Team member on CLC Projects around the country which include  Striving Readers and the Midwest Project.
